Help was there

On June 23, 2016, my home was completely destroyed in the wildfires in Lake Isabella, Calif.
I got out with the clothes on my back and my dog.
A friend who is a Legion member got me to a place where all government reps
were. I had a miniature of my DD 214. The Legion enlarged it.
They paid my first year's dues and gave me a check which was the first of
several.
I moved from California to Texas and the Legion helped again.
Even though I have moved I will always keep my membership at Post 711; I'm proud to be a member.
