Local Legion helps veterans in hospice

Brookville, IN

Two members of American Legion Post 77 are part of a special program sponsored by Margaret Mary Hospital. Faith Jones, adjutant, and Sam Wyatt, VSO, have been selected to assist us with our program.
The program is called We Honor Veterans, which enables hospice and community organizations to offer guidance, compassionate listening and appreciation so veterans can be guided toward a more peaceful end of life.
Margaret Mary recognized the lack of awareness in the veteran community. A vast majority of veterans are not enrolled for VA benefits and may not be aware of end-of-life benefits available to them. Above all else, we at Margaret Mary Hospital want to offer our heartfelt appreciation to all of our veterans for their service to our country.
Post 77 has donated 50 special coins and 50 pins to help us "celebrate" the veterans' service to our country. Special thanks to Sam Wyatt and Faith Jones for their support and assistance getting this program started.

(This was given to me by Margaret Mary Hospital and I wanted to share it with our community.)

Thank you,
Faith Jones
Adjutant
American Legion Post 77
