Cry for the Soldiers
Cry for the soldiers, they stand there in silence
They need to escape, from all of the violence
All kept inside them and still to this day
Things that they witnessed, just won’t go away
They still hold vigil and prep for the fight
Awaiting the demons that come in the night
Noises like enemies, won’t leave them alone
And faces of brothers, who never came home
Over and over they feel of frustration
They are being ignored, by us all, as a nation
So cry for the soldiers and know they still bleed
Let’s give them the help, and care that they need
