I was with main base Cherry Point, N.C. H&MS-24 MAG-24 2nd MAW. Packed up the whole squadron and spent eight days aboard the MSTS General RM Blatchford, the pilots flew the airplanes overhead. Trying to get recognition for this event seems to have been lost in time, no awards, pins - nothing for the participants. Aviators died during this event.
