Post 91 Honor Guard rendered honors during the ceremony

 

American Legion Post 91, Beebe, Arkansas conducts 9-11 remembrance ceremony

On Sunday, September 11, 2022, Post 91 held our first 9-11 remembrance ceremony. Determined to ensure our citizens never forget, we rallied our members, including Auxiliary, SAL, and Legion Rider members for the ceremony. Our Honor Guard rendered honors with a rifle salute, A framed frottage, (pencil rubbed copy) of local hero, Sgt Jason Swindle’s name, from the Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial in Marseilles, Illinois, was displayed for the public and will be presented to his Gold Star Spouse. Approximately 75 people including the city mayor, our State Representative and State Senator, and members of other statewide veterans organizations attended.


Post 91 Commander, and Honor Guard Captain Randy Wood, rings the bell in memory of military lives lost in the War on Terrorism.

Representatives of Beebe Fire and Police Departments, and Northstar Emergency Services, each rang the bell in memory of fallen comrades.

Second Vice Commander Doug Warner emceed the event for over 75 attendees

Arkansas American Legion Riders and Post 91 Auxiliary Chaplain, Beverly Wood, read from scripture and lead the opening prayer.
