Boys State in California

Newport Harbor Post 291 - Newport Beach, CA

American Legion Boys State is among the most respected and selective educational programs of government instruction for high school students. It is a program wherein each participant becomes a part of the operation of his local, county and state government.

Twenty-three young men were chosen by Newport Harbor Post 291 to attend the week long Boys State event in Sacramento, California.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of Boys State in California and 997 young men attended statewide.
