Huge support goes to Fort Cavazos (Hood) for Santa's Workshop

Harker Heights, TX

Tech. Sgt. Jack D. Levy Legion Post 573 had such an amazing year this year for Santa’s Workshop at the Great Place (Fort Cavazos "Hood"), in Killeen, Texas.

Members of the motorcycle communities in Dallas, Waco and Harker Heights gathered at the American Legion Post 133 in Temple, Texas for coffee and donuts. Around noon, 17 motorcycles and other Legion members left for the ride to Post 573 in Harker Heights.

They raised a total of $56,000 to help military families for Christmas! This is what happens when The American Legion and the Texas motorcycle communities come together.

The big supporters for this great cause this year were the American Legion Post 573 in Harker Heights, American Legion Post 133 in Temple, Survivors United Motorcycle Club (MC), U.S. Military Vets MC, Rough Riders MC, and Strays MC. One hundred percent of the money raised goes to Santa's Workshop on Fort Cavazos. That nonprofit organization is run entirely by volunteers, so all of the money goes to the military families it is meant to support. This contribution will help over 2,000 children at Fort Cavazos receive gifts for Christmas.
