Day one, just before kickstands went up.

John J. Morris Post 62 Riders deliver gifts to 12 families over 2 days

Peoria, AZ

On December 16 and 17, the John J. Morris Post 62 Legion Riders from Peoria, Arizona, delivered gifts to 12 families. Santa Claus, the Grinch and an elf led the way. They had been collecting items for about a month prior to the event. On Wednesday, December 13, they had a big gift-wrapping party prior to delivery. They had 13 motorcycles one day and 12 the next along with a truck and trailer to haul the gifts and a couple other vehicles in follow-up. Smiles abounded and some small children were jumping up and down when Santa rolled up on the lead bike. Giving back to the community is what the American Legion does best, and this was a wonderful example.

Wrapping party prior to event.

A stop along the way. For privacy of families, it did not feel appropriate to show the children.

Santa's bags lined up for loading on trailer for day 2.

Ready to kickoff day 2 ride.

Pulled up for another stop.

Smiles abound at another stop. The Grinch stole the show here because all the kids wanted pictures with the Grinch.
