Motorcycle safety training

Merced, CA

American Legion Riders of Post 83 decided to get back to the basics of riding a motorcycle. During Motorcycle Safety Month (May 2017) two motorcycle safety courses were held for any of its members to attend for free. These courses were designed and mapped out by several members of the post over several days. This training provided a low-risk, effective, realistic and enjoyable day of training for our members to practice their riding skills. A course of 8 different riding exercises included several different weave patterns, figure 8, intersections, and 24-foot circles, just to name a few. Participants were required to wear proper riding gear and have insurance to participate. After the course, lunch was provided on site to discuss any issues with the course. As a result, the course was revised for the second group of riders later that month.
Bottom Line: Training can be fun and inexpensive if you do it yourself.

Group #2 at the end of the day; training was a success.
