Sons of The American Legion Squadron 176 in Springfield, Va., held its fourth annual pig roast on Sept. 19, 2020, amidst the pandemic. The community came swinging by and helped us raise funds for our programs throughout the year. This year, we had 60 people attend the roast.

It is a wonderful time for the Sons to get engaged in their community. COVID-19 has affected most organizations throughout the country, and that includes nonprofits. At the pig roast, Detachment Commander Victor Graulau attended and received a donation toward the American Legion Veterans & Children Foundation.
