On January 30, 2024, John J. Morris Post 62 in Peoria, Arizona, hosted Valley Arts and Education to provide an art class to Legion and Auxiliary members. Over 20 painters came and had dinner, then did their paintings that they took home. The nominal participation fee covered materials and a portion goes to different parts of the post such as the honor guard or Air Rifle team and such. A quarterly event always does a give back to the post. All ages are welcome including the Auxiliary Juniors who paint free. Smiles abound and couples enjoy family time. The group also does classes at Luke Air Force Base and other community groups.
