As I recall, it was the summer of 2017 when a gentleman enjoying our post dinner asked our bartender if there were any officers in attendance.
The bartender pointed to me, and I introduced myself as the post adjutant and 22nd District vice commander. He introduced himself as Danny Anderson, vice commander of the 11th District and past commander of Post 211 in Waco, Texas.
Danny had made mention of a previous visit to our post, and wanted to show his appreciation of the hospitality provided by presenting the post with a customized light-up plaque.
I sincerely accepted the gift and formally presented it to our membership at the next general meeting.
