Walt Willey, ret. CPO/E7 - with newly commissioned Navy chiefs, Washington, D.C. - Sept. 2017

I am so thankful that I just participated in the Rocky Mountain Honor Flight. I am Walter H. Willey, CPO/E7 - retired Navy chief - going to be 91 on Nov. 8. The Rocky Mountain Honor Flight (Colorado) just sent 28 of us to Washington, D.C., Sept. 14-16. I am so humbled at the wonderful folks and companies in Colorado that donated to send us old veterans to see the monuments in our nation's capital. It was a wonderful experience that I will be thankful for the rest of my days. I have included a picture of me with a group of new Navy chief petty officers who just passed their tests. I felt as proud of them as they did of me as a WWII survivor. Thank you all.
