For over a decade American Legion Post 42 of Ocean Springs, Miss., has been delivering clothes, magazines and hygiene goods to the State Veterans Home in Collins, Miss. The State Veterans Home is an assisted living facility offering activities for residents. These activities generally allow residents to maintain healthy lifestyles by encouraging movement and socializing with their peers.
Post 42 is active and growing. New members are welcome. We meet next April 17, Monday, at 6:30 p.m. behind the Mary C and Taconi Gym. We welcome veterans who want to share their patriotism in the community.
