I was drafted in 1960 & had my basic at Ft Knox.

As usual, the 1st week was in the reception center. Our barracks were right across from the Med Bldg. where all inductees got their physicals.

Back then they didn't have air guns for shots, just needles, usually the last 2 stations were where they would get your shots. Usually the 1st station 2 shots, one in each arm then at the 2nd station, 2 more shots, one in each arm.

As we watch, sometime they would make it out the door and down the steps before they would pass out, other times they would pass out right in the door.
