I went to Navy boot camp in great lakes 1988.

I'll never forget just before we shipped out, I had the mid-watch in the barracks.

We also started packing, so I did not get to sleep that night.

One of the guys got in trouble the next day and it got us all in trouble. We all had to work in the galley all night as punishment, so it was day 2 without sleep.

The next night, we had to finish packing and clean up the barracks. That made day 3 with no sleep but I got to go home for Christmas.

I wish I knew who it was who got us all in trouble.
