This monument was damaged by high winds some 10 years ago. It had been laying broken on the ground since then.
I am happy to announce that repairs were completed on 11/8/19 and it is once again standing tall and proud. It has also been fortified with interior rebar to resist future winds in the area, and withstood 50 mph winds on the 10th.

It was coordinated through American Legion SFC Jared C. Monti Post 263 of Gainesville and Hughes Tune VFW Post 1922 of Gainesville.
Just in time for the 100th birthday of The American Legion, we hope it stands proudly as a legacy for many more years to come.
