Post 253 participated in a flag dedication and veteran recognition ceremony on Monday, Oct. 9, at the Elks Lodge Festus-Crystal City #1721. The color guard rendered a 21-gun salute along with taps. Also, there was a presentation of the history of the United States flags by a local citizen.
