Post 1703 donates brick

Prince George , VA

The Virginia War Memorial Foundation’s mission is to "Honor Veterans, Preserve History, Educate Youth, and Inspire Patriotism" in everyone. They have a special place called the Walkway of Honor. Its location encircles the Shrine of Memory, where guests may observe the James River. It is a solemn place where one may go for a moment of respite and reflection. One of Post 1703’s initiatives is to help ensure that we, and the great people of this country, never forget the services and sacrifices made to maintain the people’s freedoms.

Therefore, Post 1703 donated $250 to VAWMF toward a brick placement for the walkway. The uniquely engraved brick reveals our post’s name and location and contributes to a significant and permanent element of the memorial grounds. The brick placement at the Walkway of Honor shall create a lasting legacy for the post, Legionnaires, and our families as well.
