Seaman 1st Class Billy Don Ford was a proud Navy serviceman. He served during the Korean War on the BB-61 (USS Iowa). He married his soulmate, Betty Ann, before shipping out on July 5, 1952. After returning home with a honorable discharge in 1954, he became a pressman at a printing company. It was always a privilege for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to get to listen to his war stories about the time he spent on Iowa. Unfortunately, he passed away on May 21, 2018. He will always be loved and never forgotten. Thank you to him and all of the other servicemen and women who protect our freedoms.
