An Army guarantee

Philadelphia, PA

I planned to join the Navy after high school because my father served in World War II and during the Korean War. But the Navy recruiter could not guarantee me becoming a Seabee. That was June 1972. In May 1973, the Army recruiter could guarantee me an electrician's MOS in a combat engineer unit. The rest is history.
