On May 4, John J. Morris Post 62 (Peoria, Ariz.) honored Applebee's with their Americanism Award. The award is presented to the Peoria Business of the Month. Store manager Kevin Aschenbrenner got called away on business at the last minute but in a previous meeting stated how proud they are to support veterans and that his family has several. Veteran discounts are available every day and even on meal specials. The store has community walls with pictures from the Peoria community schools, their teams and more to support the area. The staff who accepted the award were excited and immediately put it on display for customers to see. A salute to Applebee's for supporting veterans and their community.
