On Sept. 15, 2026, Post 62 presented Mission BBQ with the Patriotism Award. This award is given to businesses within the Peoria City limits to acknowledge their service and support to our veteran community. Every time there has been some sort of event, Mission BBQ has been there to provide fantastic food. Sheila Hunter spoke on how they feel it an honor and a privilege to serve our veterans and hope to continue that support for years to come.
