Ambassador for Peace Medal presented to veterans of the Korean War

LeBron Post 58 - Guthrie, OK

American Legion LeBron Post 58 (Guthrie, Okla.) Commander Kim Vincent, Jaeho Yi, vice chairman of the Korean War Veterans Committee, The Federation of Korean Associations, USA, and Intaek Choi, consulate general of the Republic of Korea Houston, recognized several veterans for their service during the Korean War with the Ambassador for Peace Medal.

We recognized one living recipient - Billy Leroy Hardage - and several posthumously: Jose Cano Enriquez, Charles Edward Findley, Joe Ellis Gresham, Freddie Ward Guy Sr, Glenn Orvis Hawkins, Paul Harold Henry, Eugene Robert Kupper Jr, Eugene O Long, Louis Dale Marrs, Martin Thomas McCay, Edward Andrew Ramsey, James Leonard Smith, Ralph L Stevenson, Charles D Tontz, Elward Elmer Winterscheid, and families not present: Ronald Wonn, Bobby Lee Asher and Joe Arthur Major.

A veteran visiting the Washington, D.C., Korean War Memorial shared the commander's contact info to process requests and mail medals to Chandler, Ariz., for Dominic DiGiovanni's 95th birthday, and to the grandson of Capt. Charles Graham-Gibson, identified March 17, 2025, by DPAA (Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency), repatriated and laid to rest Oct. 11 at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Battle Creek, Mic. His remains were part of the release of 55 boxes of remains by Kim Jong Un on Aug. 2, 2018; he was in box 48.
