2nd Annual Vietnam Era Veterans Luncheon, Rumford, Maine

Rumford, ME

It was a truly amazing day at Post 24 for our 2nd Annual Vietnam Era Veterans Luncheon, with 50 veterans and guests in attendance. We honored all veterans who served during the Vietnam era, no matter where, because they all went where they were ordered to go. No matter where they were sent, they were all mistreated horribly when they came home. Today, as in past years, we honored their service and their sacrifices to our country.
Our Rumford American Legion Post 24, Auxiliary Unit 24 and Sons of The American Legion Squadron 24 volunteers came together to create an amazing day for our veterans. We could not do it without our Cub Scout Pack 580 and Troop 580. We thank Kelly D and Heidi P for providing haircuts and those who provided resources at this event. As always, we thank the Auxiliary Department of Maine Public Relations chairperson for always supporting by decorating the hall and taking amazing pictures to document the day's events.
Thank you to all those who have supported this event, in more ways than you can imagine. From the time, gifts and all donations, we could not do this without your community and member support.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart and to our Vietnam-era veterans I want to say thank you for your service, for your sacrifices, and welcome home! ❤
