In my encounters with veterans-approved urgent care, they are great doctors! They take good care of you! Here starts the headache: once you leave and drive to a veterans-approved pharmacy, you present your script. They fill it and say your bill is $98; you tell them it's supposed to be free! They tell you the doctor is not veterans-approved; he has to be listed. So you pay the bill. In a couple of days, you make some calls and are told to fill out the 10-320 form and send in your receipts to them, then wait 1-2 months to get your money! Just because the company is approved, some doctors they hire are not listed! This is not fare to a veteran!
Story No. 2. Let's say you're in a car accident and transported to an ER hospital. You call the 72-hour hotline. They tell you thanks, and any doctor in the ER who writes scripts is covered at pharmacies! If you are admitted and taken to your room upstairs! If they write you scripts, they are not covered at all! Here come your forms again! Hats off to the veterans again! If by any chance you live very close to a veterans hospital, your scripts could be filled for free! I live 75 minutes one way; most veterans are the same here. Things have to change quickly! I urge you to notify your congressman or woman, please! Things in veterans higher-up aren't working well!
