American Legion Post 38 host Super Bowl party for troops at DMZ

Camp Bonifas, South Korea

American Legion Post 38 (South Korea) and VFW Post 9985 (South Korea) hosted the Super Bowl party for the soldiers of the United Nations Command Security Battalion-Joint Security Area (UNCSB-JSA) on Feb. 9, 2026. The event was held at Camp Bonifas, South Korea, located 400 m (1,300 ft) south of the southern boundary of the Korean Demilitarized (DMZ). This is the second year American Legion Post 38 co-hosted the party.
Since the Korean Armistice Agreement, the soldiers of UNCSB-JSA have stood at the front line of freedom 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As the most forward-deployed unit on the peninsula, the unit proudly stands face-to-face with the North Korean People’s Army to preserve the armistice and help bring about peaceful reunification on the Korean Peninsula.
