Yeager Benson Post 199 recently donated $20,000 to Harrison Youth Football to purchase a new scoreboard for their league. The post already donates the use of approximately 3 acres of their land to the youth organization. They have been supporting them for over 35 years. Their scoreboard was over 20 years old, and finding parts for repairs recently became completely impossible. Upon hearing this, discussions were held with the post charity board to discuss a donation. Harrison Youth Football has over 600 youth players from kindergarten through sixth grade, including both boys and girls - some are players, some members of the cheerleaders who play at the field every Saturday from August through the end of October. Yeager Benson Post 199 is a firm believer in supporting youth in their community and this is just one example. The new scoreboard will be installed. before the new season begins.
