Gerald Linker, commander of the Department of the Philippines, and department adjutant John O’Brien made a special visit to Thomas Oliver Ahlberg Memorial American Legion Post TH02 in Pattaya, Thailand, on Oct. 10, 2026. The visit was to officially welcome Post TH02 as a new member of the department; it was approved to transfer from the Department of France by the American Legion National Executive Committee during a regular meeting on Oct. 7-8 assembled in Indianapolis.
