About the author:
Born in Derby, Conn., and a lifelong resident of Shelton, Conn., Celine is a graduate of Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Conn., where she majored in business administration with a minor in English. Since a child, she always loved to write and when she was a senior in high school she began sending her work to publishers. Her first poem appeared in Night Roses in 1991, and her second poem appeared in Green’s Magazine of Canada in 1991. Since then, her work has appeared in many literary magazines around the USA and even in India, Australia, England and Scotland. Early Bird Publications of India published a primary textbook of essays on the presidents. Rock Village Publishing of Massachusetts published her first children’s book, Olivia MacAllister, Who Are You?. Magbooks of Hong Kong published Celine’s e-book Leapy the Frog, which is no longer available. Celine self-published her poetry book, Through Celine’s Eyes. She self-published her nonfiction book What Corporate America is Really All About, as well as self-publishing her other poetry book, Words of Inspiration. Celine now has another publisher, Clayborn Press of Arizona, and he has accepted two of her young adult books, I’m Too Young to be President and Alexander, My Angel. As of December 2017, Clayborn Press has published I’m Too Young to be President as both an e-book and a print book. Celine has another publisher, Hiareth Publishing of Iowa, and they will publish her science fiction book Atomic Soldiers. They also published The Rebellion. Her poem The Long Aftermath was published by Goose River Press in their 2011 Anthology. Her poem The Immigrants was published in the 2012 Goose River Press Anthology. Her other poem Happiness was published in the 2014 Goose River Press Anthology. Her short story They Called Him Up Yonder was published in the 2015 Goose River Press Anthology. Her poem entitled Soldier of the Vietnam War was published in the 2016 Goose River Press Anthology. Her story Things I Remember About Nonie and Grandpa was accepted for publication in the 2017 Goose River Press Anthology. Celine’s poem Vegas Forever was accepted for publication in the 2018 Goose River Press Anthology. Two of her poems, Is the World Coming to an End and My Uncle Dominic-A New York Yankee Fan have been published in the Goose River Press Anthology 2023. She also wrote a column for The Children’s Magazine of India in which she tells the children all about America. A longtime fan of Tom Jones, he read one of her poems out loud to an audience twice in Atlantic City and twice in Las Vegas. She also plays the guitar, the banjo and the mandolin. She has her own home business, CRM Enterprises. Celine loves to watch soap operas, and she loves Las Vegas. Celine is a big fan of the New York Giants, and she collects teddy bears. Celine resides with her family in Shelton. Celine also has her own e-newsletter, CRM Enterprises, featuring her books and beaded jewelry for sale; poetry by her and other poets; write-ups on different authors; reviews of books; updates on the soap operas; and interesting news on sports. Her dad, Peter J. Mariotti was a Korean War veteran who received the Purple Heart. He was wounded in Taegu, and only he and another fellow in his unit survived the battle. Her dad was a member of The American Legion. Her uncle, Dominic Iannotti, was a veteran of World War II. He received the Bronze Star in 1998 for his heroism during the war. He was a POW captured at the Battle of the Bulge, and after six months he escaped the prison camp and followed the sound of the American artillery and got back to the American front lines.
