I am a speech and language teacher as well as a children’s book author, and I am also my Vietnam veteran grandpa's caregiver. Taking him to his appointments at the VA hospital has become one of the favorite parts of my week. The VA is truly a very special place, filled with heroes and untold stories, as well as amazing caregivers and staff.
