Dick Schnitz, NE Post 630 bugler, sounds taps on Memorial Day at Hopewell Cemetery.

Northeast Post 630 honors those who served in all wars

Northeast Post 630 - Blue Ash, OH

Northeast Post 630 bugler Dick Schnitz is a member of a national organization known as Taps Across America (TAA). Each year on Memorial Day at 3 p.n. local time, members of TAA sound taps in recognition and remembrance of those whose life was taken while fighting a war in which America has been involved. Dick continued the tradition at Hopewell Cemetery and once again sounded taps in front of Post 630 members, members of the Montgomery Police and Fire departments, Montgomery City Council members and a gathering of citizens who had heard about this tribute and wanted to be present for the ceremony. Hopewell Cemetery is maintained by the City of Montgomery. There are soldiers and sailors buried in the cemetery from every war America has participated in.

Attendees salute as Schnitz, sounds taps on Memorial Day.
