Post Commander John Whitsell was interviewed by KETK and FOX51 during our spring gun show. He highlighted that the funds raised by our two gun shows each year are donated to support various charitable activities in the community, which have included donations to veteran homes, food banks, Toys for Tots and others. The local fire and police department as well as schools have received LifeVac kits. Whitsell commented, “These activities are only made possible through the hours of volunteer efforts of our members. We are engaged in this kind of activity because we are able to. Many of our comrades gave all and so we do this to honor them.” The broadcaster also publicized our fall gun show and commented on the great work The American Legion does for our communities.
