On May 10, John J. Morris Post 62 (Peoria, Ariz.) helped celebrate the 45th wedding anniversary (sapphire) of longtime officer Dave Broyles and his wife, Angie. Dave spent 20 years in the Air Force (plus three more in the reserves) and Angie spent 15 years in the Air Force. He left as master sergeant and she left as tech sergeant. It was a wonderful event with their children and grandchildren in attendance. Their son, Matthew, also a veteran, served eight years in the Army. The party consisted of their family, Legion Family and neighbors. There was a band, dinner, toast and dessert - a full event for a great couple. Dave has been an officer in the post for 18 years as historian and then several more as adjutant. We salute their ongoing love and devotion to each other. Happy 45th anniversary, Dave and Angie!
