John J. Morris Post 62 (Peoria, Ariz.) celebrated the life of Army veteran Roger Morissette on Aug. 17. The Honor Guard kicked things off followed by an opening prayer from the chaplain. As some of the group started talking about Roger, the steady theme was his generosity and willingness to lend a hand to anyone who needed help, and his love for lobster. The commander read a history of his life, the chaplain gave a closing prayer, and then everyone enjoyed a meal to continue visiting and remembering. Thinking of Roger in Post Everlasting.
