On March 25, John J. Morris Post 62 (Peoria, Ariz.) did a ceremony welcoming home our Vietnam veterans. They were never properly welcomed home from doing their job for our country. For the third straight year, the Auxiliary performed a ceremony for the Vietnam veterans welcoming them home. Following the 7:00 toast the Auxiliary presented roses to all the Vietnam veterans with flowers and then cake. The past Auxiliary president gave a welcome-home speech because our current Auxiliary president had knee surgery. All week you could hear the veterans talk about it - we have to be there Wednesday night for the ceremony - especially the Purple Heart veterans. We welcome them home and salute them for their patriotism!
