The empowered Warriors of Holley-Riddle Post 21 in The Colony, Texas, brought their spirit and enthusiasm to the forefront on May 11, 2024, as they manned the water stop for the All-Abilities 5k sponsored by Scheels Sporting Goods. With upbeat patriotic music playing and smiles beaming, the volunteers from Post 21 handed out water, energy and encouragement to every walker, runner, hand cyclist and wheelchair athlete as they passed through the halfway mark of the 3.1-mile course.
“The dedication, endurance and determination displayed by these athletes can motivate us in various aspects of our lives,” stated Mary Garcia, commander of Post 21. “Whether it's pushing ourselves to reach our fitness goals, overcoming obstacles or striving for success in our endeavors, these walkers, runners and rollers set the example of the power of perseverance and the rewards of hard work.”
