John D. Wibby American Legion Auxiliary Unit 86 in Overgaard, Ariz., held their 5th Annual Women Veterans Recognition Luncheon on Saturday, June 13, 2026. The event began with presenting the colors, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the singing of the national anthem. The guest speaker was Priya Simpson, Army veteran and White Mountain Apache Queen, who gave a rousing and heartfelt speech of her time in the service. Adjutant Bolles also spoke, giving an historical overview of women in the military. All veterans were presented with a gift and three lucky veterans won door prizes. It was an honor for the Auxiliary to be able to serve over 20 local female veterans (and their plus-1 guest) in gratitude for their service.
