On Sept. 19, 2026, the honor guard traveled to American Legion Post 105 to post the colors in observance of National POW/MIA Recognition Day. The ceremony began at 12:30 p.m.
The observance included the playing of “Call to the Colors,” followed by the solemn rendition of taps, performed by George Thomas, bugler.
This meaningful occasion was dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who served our nation and those who remain prisoners of war or missing in action. The ceremony served as a reminder of the sacrifices made by our servicemembers and the importance of remembering those who have not yet returned home.
Post 105 was filled to capacity as members, veterans and community supporters gathered to pay tribute to our nation's POWs and MIAs.
The spirit of unity, honor and respect was evident throughout the ceremony, reflecting the enduring commitment to remembering and honoring those who have served and sacrificed for our country.
