Memorial Day 2026 – honoring our nation’s fallen

Columbus, OH

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The National Veterans Memorial and Museum (NVMM) invites the community to join us for our annual Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 25, to honor the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Tickets for the ceremony can be reserved at www.NationalVets.org or https://nationalvmm.org. For those unable to attend in person, there is a livestream link on the website.

Our keynote speaker will be Ryan Manion, CEO of the Travis Manion Foundation. Ryan’s brother, Travis, a U.S. Marine Corps first lieutenant, gave his life in 2007 during his second deployment to Iraq. While on patrol searching for a suspected insurgent house in Fallujah, Travis, his fellow Marines and Iraqi Army counterparts were ambushed. Travis led a counterattack, drawing fire away from his wounded comrades and allowing every other member of his patrol to survive. For his actions, he was awarded the Silver Star and Bronze Star with Valor. The Travis Manion Foundation works to unite communities to strengthen our nation by empowering veterans and families of fallen heroes to develop character in future generations.

The National Veterans Memorial and Museum is located at 300 W. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio.
