Col. Lewis L. Millet American Legion Post 38 of South Korea held their annual Memorial Day ceremony at Yanghwajin Cemetery, Mapo Ward, Seoul on May 25, 2026. Members from Post 38, American Legion Post 37, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 37 and VFW Post 9985 participated in the event. A U.S. flag was placed on each grave of the U.S. veterans. Twenty-seven graves were visited. The adjutant read the name of each veteran at the grave, Post 38 Commander Garwood led the contingent with a salute followed by a bow, and the contingent moved to the next grave. The event ended at the northeast corner of the cemetery, in Section A with Garwood’s final remarks and Post 38 Chaplain Timothy Lane providing a prayer after visiting the final grave.
