I went into the Navy because my father served in the Navy during World War II, in the Pacific theater. I wanted to serve my country, and in 1980 we thought we were going to invade Iran (we probably should have and wouldn't be where we are now). I spent the next 24 years traveling the oceans of the world. Loved it.
