On July 1, John J. Morris Post 62 (Peoria, Ariz.) honored Robert Mimms as the July veteran of the month. This is one of the most touching events every month, on the first of the month. The burial flag flies over the post for the entire month and then comes down and is presented to family or friends of the veteran honored. Robert was career Army, as was his father. His sons and a grandson also served in the military. A salute to Robert Mimms as he has transferred to Post Everlasting.
