On July 4, John J. Morris Post 62, (Peoria, Ariz.) celebrated the 249th Independence Day. Following the flag-raising everyone went inside, out of the Arizona, heat for speeches, potluck and a band. It was a full house all day and all night in the celebration. In the evening everyone enjoyed the Friday fish fry. Local favorite band Reboot played seven hours of music for everyone to dance and to listen to. The post commander and the Auxiliary president both made great speeches that included a lot of history. Prior to the meal Department Chaplain Ron DiBiasio gave the blessing. Happy birthday, America!
