Today, American Legion Truitt Bishop Post 426 (Alvarado, Texas) hosted a blood drive with Carter BloodCare. It was a successful drive, with several members of the post family stepping up, along with community citizens, to be heroes. As of press time, it is not known the final donation count. This is not the first blood drive hosted at the post, nor will it be the last. Post 426 has always stepped up to help and will continue to do so.
