WWII Robert T. McCollum Honor Guard - Bronze Rosette

San Jose, CA

I'd like to share a heartfelt thank-you to all our American Legion Family members who had the availability to honor 2nd Lt. Robert T. McCollum on May 3, 2025. Since my honor guard days in the 1980s to today, I'm truly humbled to witness today's honor, which has filled my heart with pride, respect and a sense of closure for our fellow veterans' family members.

To our fellow Veteran, Robert T. McCollum, who was MIA for 80+ years and lay at the bottom of the sea in his B-24 bomber…
We watched as your coffin passed before Us
We watched as the doves circled with your Spirit
And we saluted a fellow Warrior
As he made his way back Home
May you finally, with God’s Grace
Rest in Peace
