Riders lined up at the first game table to start winning their poker hand!

John J. Morris Post 62 Riders host Poker Walk

Peoria, AZ

On Saturday, Sept. 27, the John J. Morris Post 62 (Peoria, Ariz.) Riders hosted their first-ever Poker Walk. Following two days of hail and heavy rain and still 100-degree days, their idea proved a wise choice. Instead of taking motorcycles from location to location, it was totally hosted in our dining hall. They had five game tables set up including a spinning wheel, indoor corn hole, "beer" pong, dart throw and bottle ring toss. Each table won you a card; the best poker hand after the five tables won the pot. They also had a table with Christmas cards for people to sign for troops overseas, which will be collected into November before they are shipped overseas. Lots of smiles and laughs at the table games. Leadership was happy with the turn out for a first-time event and learning curve. Our Riders are always involved in several charity events and supporting the community. A salute to everyone involved!

Assistant Director Larry Tank and Director Bobby Gallo. They make a great team!
