John J. Morris Post 62 Riders honor two more inductees to Legion of the Silver Rose

Peoria, AZ

On April 4, the John J. Morris Post 62 (Peoria, Ariz.) Riders went to a ceremony to support two more of their members inducted into the Legion of the Silver Rose. This ceremony is for Vietnam veterans who suffer from Agent Orange. On this day, Sam Elbe and Lewis Corner, a Navy and Army veteran, were inducted along with 15 others. They join two previous honorees from the Post 62 Riders. It is a huge celebration honoring these veterans, with a classic car parade taking them around the area before the ceremony. The ceremony then honored them all individually prior to two posts making donations to the cause, including the largest donation of $1,500 from the Post 62 Riders. There was also a private donation in honor of a previous awardee who has passed away. Then everyone enjoyed a wonderful meal. A salute to all veterans honored at the event.

Shirts honoring the veterans were seen all over the room.

Sam Elbe, Navy, honoree medal and certificate.

Lewis Corner, Army, medal and certificate.

Post 62 Riders Director Bobby Gallo presenting check for $1,500.

New inductees Corner and Elbe with last year's inductee Mel Rowan. All from the Post 62 Riders.
