Does that sum it up?

John J. Morris Post 62 honors volunteers

Peoria, AZ

John J. Morris Post 62 (Peoria, Ariz.) honored its volunteers in event at the post. The Legion, Auxiliary, and Riders honored their leaders. They also honored the color guard, kitchen staff and bingo volunteers. They brought food in so the kitchen did not have to cook and serve. Legion members including Commander Bob Singer were the servers in the banquet-style line. Too often volunteers are overlooked and not patted on the back. Post 62 goes out of their way to thank everyone. The post honored the Veteran of the Year and Volunteer of the Year with plaques plus certificates for several others for their volunteer time. As it is said, "Volunteers are not paid, not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless!" We are sure all posts across the country could not do what they do without volunteers. A salute to volunteers in American Legions across our great nation.

Veteran of the Year Dwight Amery with Commander Bob Singer. Not only historian but also acting adjutant.

Legion Volunteer of the Year Chuck Holsinger with Commander Bob Singer. Service officers are priceless.

1st Vice Commander Ken Ellison recognized all his kitchen servers/volunteers. It takes a lot of people to feed everyone!
