Hospice of the Valley - final stop in distributing caregiver survival kits, plus today they added lap blankets to be given out.

John J. Morris Post 62 surpasses 250 goal

Peoria, AZ

On June 3, John J. Morris Post 62 (Peoria, Ariz.) presented caregiver survival kits at Hospice of the Valley. The Auxiliary way surpassed their challenge of 250 kits distributed, with over 350! At the CNA luncheon today, the final sets were given out to a very appreciative crowd. Hospice is such a challenging job, and the smiles from the gifts really showed the appreciation of the caregivers. It is not easy to find exact numbers of veterans they have helped, but you know there are lots. A salute to our Auxiliary to achieving the department challenge and then going way above and beyond because they saw the impact of what they were doing! While there they also distributed several bags of lap blankets to be given out.

A very appreciative audience of caregivers today.

Smiles as the four volunteers gave a packet to the lead contact for the caregivers.
